BIKE ALERT

INVESTIGATING STRUCTURES IN THE PARC RÉGIONAL DES ÎLES-DE-SAINT-TIMOTHÉE

Hydro-Québec will carry out investigative work (surveys, summaries and geotechnical drilling) of its structures (bridges and dam) located in the parc régional des Îles-de-Saint-Timothée, from August 20 to 31, 2018, from Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 5 pm.

From August 27 to 31, the boat ramp will be closed and the entrances (parking access and pedestrian crossing) will be closed alternately between 7 am and 5 pm. Unless unforeseen, one of the two entrances to the park will be accessible at all times during this period.

CLOSURE OF A SECTION OF THE BIKE PATH IN THE REGIONAL PARK OF BEAUHARNOIS-SALABERRY

Hydro-Québec will carry out bank stabilization work in the Beauharnois-Salaberry Regional Park, in the Salaberry-de-Valleyfield sector between the Larocque bridge and the head of the Beauharnois Canal, between August 20 and August 31 2018, Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 4:30 pm

A section of bike path will be hampered to ensure safety during the work. A bypass will be accessible through the access located on Beaulac Street for users wishing to go to Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. Posters will be displayed at the closing points to indicate the working zone and the bypass. The contractor will also install signs on site to indicate the detour of the bike lane. Backfilling work will continue until 4:30 pm to allow for the reopening of the bike path in the evening and on weekends.

CLOSURE OF COTEAU DAM BIKE PATH

Starting May 22, the cycling path will be closed at all times until October (with a possible prolongation), EXCEPT from June 23 to July 2 and from July 21 to August 5, the cycling path will be exceptionally OPEN. Maintenance on the bridge seats must be done which requires lifting of the roadway.

Those works are a priority and the closing of the path is necessary to ensure public security. No alternative has been confirmed yet. Please consult our "Bike Alert" regularly as we will keep you informed.

CLOSURE OF BIKE PATH ON JUILLET-1 AND JUILLET-2 DAMS

Hydro-Québec has closed the access to the cycling path on Juillet-1 and Juillet-2 dams for the entire 2018 season. As an alternative, access is allowed on Des Cèdres dam to reach the maritime shuttle. Please follow the signs on site.

Hydro-Québec apologizes for any inconvenience that might arise with this situation and wants to thank the users for their understanding.
